Hello, reader! Thank you for visiting my blog – I'm so happy you're here. I've maintained this blog for more than fifteen years, and although the format has certainly changed a few times over the years, I'm proud of the writing that still lives on this site today.

While I'll always return here to share the occasional travel musing, right now I'm focusing my attention on a new project: the launch of my Substack, Everything But The Chateau.

Everything But The Chateau is my accountability journal as I pursue my dream of restoring a French chateau and operating it as a B&B. There’s just one small problem: I don’t actually own a chateau.

So, in truth, it's a newsletter about dreaming big by starting small. Taking inspiration from my favorite reality home show, Escape to the Chateau, I’ll chronicle my attempts at the DIY and craft projects that will one day prepare me to be Lady of My Own Chateau.
