Writing

My first taste of being "published" was in the second grade, when my teacher laminated a picture book I had created. There was no better feeling than the weight of my own words in my hands—and I've wanted to be a writer ever since. While I've experimented with many different genres over the years, the following are the closest to my heart.

Blurred Figure in Field

Mystery Writer

As a kid, I devoured every Nancy Drew and Agatha Christie novel on my library's shelves. Now, I write fiction in the genre I still love most. My mysteries center on women who are rediscovering themselves. A sense of place is integral to their characters, and a sense of humor cuts the tension when—inevitably—a dead body turns up.

I am a member of the Association of Writers and Writing Programs (AWP), Sisters in Crime, and Lighthouse Writers Workshop. From May 2023 to April 2025, my work was represented by Zoe Sandler at Sanford J. Greenburger Associates. I am currently seeking new literary representation.

Travel Essayist

Sixteen years ago, I started a blog to record my most memorable travel stories: Travel Girl Sees World.
While I've since retired the name, I've continued to write about unforgettable places. Some of my early posts still live on my blog as a nod to my enduring wanderlust.
